Who We Are

“Mentors Inspiring Boys and Girls” uses the arts to teach youth ages 6-18 life skills, entrepreneurial skills, and strong work ethic.

Robert Ricks (MIB&G Founder) and his associates use their talents andpassion to bring out the best in young people.  Skills learned through collaborative art endeavors are transferable and build success in school, work, and everyday life.

We develop skills and foster collaboration, patience, and tolerance.

An alternative to idle time by harnessing a safe and fun environment. MIB&G staff and volunteers nurture youth. As a result, youth feel comfortable expressing their feelings, fears, doubts, and aspirations. Equipped with this vital and invaluable information, we use our resources, words, and gifts to make their dreams come true.

— We Develop Skills

By developing their creative talent, youth develop effective skills such as:

  • Interpersonal Skills
  • Stress Management
